“…We are so happy with Soft Claws!!…”

We are so happy with Soft Claws!! We just moved into a new flat with real hard wood floors, which are gorgeous. Although, my dog, Fidgy, was scratching the floor whilst running about in our flat. Fidgy was even scratching our leather sofa sometimes as well…. 🙁

A friend of mine told me about Soft Claws so I looked on the internet and found your website! We ordered “pink” so that Fidgy could really show her femininity!! Fidgy no longer scratches the floor or the sofa which makes us very happy indeed. We have also noticed that Fidgy is able to get more grip, so she’s no longer sliding across our floor. I’ve also found that they seem to last anywhere between 1-2 months before having to be replaced, which is great. They are very easy to put on and well worth buying if you’d like to save your floors and/or your leather sofa. Thank you Soft Claws!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂

The package came in the mail really fast and we don’t have any more problems with scratching the wood floor. I was very happy to see this and would recommend all dog owners with wooden floor to get them.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

“…An ideal product for cats who live an indoor, house-cat life…”

I’ve been involved in cat rescue and breeding for eleven years. I often re-home disabled rescues, or place pedigree kittens in city homes where outside access isn’t possible. That’s where Soft Claws come in useful. Soft Claws is an ideal product for cats who live an indoor, house-cat life. Soft Claws prevent furniture and carpet damage caused by excessive scratching. Once you’ve applied them they are easy to use, no more difficult than trimming claws.

Persephonies Korats have been recommending Soft Claws for several years now. (In common with the inventor of Soft Claws, I would not recommend using this product on cats who have outside access. Your cat’s claws are his only defense against dog or fox attack.)

Liz Monument (www.korats.co.uk)

“…Suited for cats with limited out door access…”

Some people were asking about Soft Claws. I work at a vet, and apply these things every day, to all kinds of cats. Here is my take: Description: A set of rubber nail covers which are glued to the nail, after trimming, with a super-glue-like substance. They are used to keep the kitty from scratching things that may be damaged by unaltered nails. They are really, really easy to apply if kitty cooperates, and will let you trim her nails easily. They take about 5-8 minutes to apply, once you get the hang of it. They are relatively inexpensive (about £10-12/set, if applied at the vet, and they last 1-3 months.) They are even less expensive if you buy your own kit and apply them at home. They do not interfere with normal claw usage, but protect things you do not want scratched, fairly effectively. Some cats do very, very well with them. Overall impression: I think trimming nails often (every 1-2 weeks) is a better, more wholistic solution to scratching problems, than Soft Claws. If you are unable to do this, Soft Claws may be a solution for you. Overall, it is a very good product but really more suited for cats with limited out door access.

“…Soft Claws could prevent many cats from being re-homed…”

I’m a Veterinary Nurse with many animals. After having a baby, priorities change and whilst I do love my animals my baby always comes first.

One of my cats Suki has been unpredictable and has swiped him a few times – she recently scratched him near his eye. Of course I considered re-homing her but I am very attached to her. I have put Soft Claws on her now and it seems to be a good solution so far. She doesn’t seem bothered at all by them and although she could still bite at least I know she cannot injure my baby by swiping.

She was also the 1 out of 4 of my cats who was destructive and has ruined several pairs of curtains / sofas / trousers etc. This has also stopped with Soft Claws – so, so far so good – I would recommend them to anyone in a similar situation. I believe the use of Soft Claws could prevent many cats from being re-homed and I wish more people were aware of them.

“…Soft Claws has allowed me and my cat to live happily together…”

I have been using Soft Claws since 1999 with great success.  They are an excellent solution to cat scratching problems.  This simple yet ingenious product is highly effective at preventing damage to property and people from cat scratches.  Soft Claws is an excellent alternative to declawing.  The nail caps are completely safe, non-toxic and extremely well tolerated by cats.  They are simple to apply, ensuring excellent client compliance.  Cat owners are often ecstatic to learn about this product and are grateful that their veterinarian provided them with this effective solution.

Soft Claws are also an effective therapeutic agent against self-trauma caused by cats with pruritic (itchy) skin conditions.  Application of the nail caps to hind claws effectively blunts the nail so the cat causes little damage to himself while scratching.  This allows the tissue to heal faster and often eliminates the need for an e-collar.  Cat owners absolutely love Soft Claws.  One of the most common praises I hear is “Soft Claws has allowed me and my cat to live happily together and both have what we want.” Plus, many people love the colors and showing their accessorized cat off to their friends.

“…they stopped scratching immediately…”

The scratching post I bought for my cats, only interested one of them, as the others preferred to scratch other objects in the house which was a massive headache for our new family. We tried Soft Claws and found that it really does work! After a day or two of the cats wearing their nails in – we found that they stopped scratching immediately.

“…I think that declawing is cruel – I can’t believe they do it in America…” –

I think declawing is cruel – I can’t believe they do it an America! That didn’t stop me from wanting to put them up for adoption when my cats scratched up my furniture. I’ve been using these covers for about 4 months now and think they are great. My cats are very cooperative when I put them on and don’t notice them after they’ve been on for 10 minutes. My cats and I are very happy. I recommend these for all cat owners. Order these and you and your cat will soon be at peace with each other.

“…I guess this sounds like ‘another’ thank you…”

I just wanted to say thank you. I guess this sounds like “another” thank you, but this really is a fantastic product! I really wish I had known about this before I gave away my cat. I’d never do it again and I still miss her, but it was my only alternative at the time. I feel awful about it.

Now, having leather furniture and a scratchy Terrier, something else had to be done and WOW when the leather repairman came and repaired the sofa he suggested and handed me a flyer; said this is all I’ll ever need, was he right! Please don’t raise your prices! That’s another plus that makes it affordable for everyone, not just those celebrities! Thanks, and I’ll be ordering again and I will be spreading the word of what a fantastic product this is!

“…My cats can now scratch away at anything…”

Our cats never took to scratching posts, and we tried several deterrent products without success. As a result, our furniture and carpet always paid the price. When we purchased new furniture over a year ago, I decided to give Soft Claws a try. My cats can now scratch away at anything without devaluing our home and furniture! We also now have a 1-year-old son who loves chasing the cats, and the Soft Claws have saved him from being scratched numerous times. We are so happy to have found a product that is best for both parties: our cats can follow their natural scratching instincts while we maintain the condition of our home and the health of our son!

“…The cats seem to actually enjoy the attention…”

Recently, we moved into a new home. Along with the house came new furniture and carpeting. Our three cats have a habit of investigating anything in the house that’s new and using their claws to make it their own. Since we use Soft Claws, it wasn’t a problem. The cats still scratched at the couches, chairs, and carpet but there was no damage. We have found the product easy to apply. The cats seem to actually enjoy the attention they get while we do the application. My wife and I enjoy the fact that we don’t have to constantly be vigilant for scratching behavior in order to protect our investment.

“…Soft Claws have helped to protect his skin…”

I am writing from Poochy Paws, in Cornwall. We have a kitty named Garfield; he is a three year old Polydactyl. He has a disorder known only as self-mutilating behaviour. He has no skin disease, no fungus or parasites, no ear mites, and no viruses which can be tested.  Also our Dog seems to be fine, it’s just Garfield.

The Soft Claws have helped to protect his skin. Garfield has his beautiful pink paws; only real men can wear pink, you know! He looks so flippin’ cute. He is still able to rub the fur off around his neck and face, but at least now he cannot break the skin, and that is a big, big help. I bet you never figured Soft Claws for this use. We can’t thank you enough.  By the way we loved them so much we decided to sell them on our website!

“…This superb product has completely transformed Peaches life!…”

We have a self-mutilating cat called Peaches.  For years we tried everything we could to help her – conventional medicine, homeopathic medicine, jumpers with the sleeves cut off, and collars covered in gauze.  You name it we’ve tried it, but nothing seemed to work until I discovered Soft Claws on the internet.  This superb product has completely transformed Peaches life!

We trimmed her claws and stuck pink Soft Claws on to her back claws.  She is now able to scratch without hurting herself.  For years she has ripped herself to pieces with constant scratching but now she has Soft Claws she can scratch without causing any damage.  This has also had a very positive knock on effect on her general wellbeing, she is a much happier cat and she has even started to play again. Before, when her scratching was bad, she would not play, talk, and would often shiver, wet the bed and hide.  Now she is a very happy cat, who talks, plays and generally wants you to cuddle her.  We have been using Soft Claws for 9 months and the difference is incredible.  I wish we had discovered them sooner!

I don’t usually sing the praises of products, but Soft Claws has made such a difference, I’ve told everyone I know (including our Vets).  Very easy to use and it’s saved us a fortune in Vets bills!

“…I am very pleased with how long the claws stay on…”

My cat, Miss Molly, suffers from a skin condition similar to eczema. She is constantly itchy, scratching her back causing very nasty sores. She has been on steroids for this problem but it has never been 100% successful. She wears a T-shirt to prevent the scratching but eventually rips through them. However, about 6 weeks ago I found out about Soft Claws and was happy to give them a try. They were very easy to put on Molly and once on, she didn’t seem to even notice that they were there. Since putting them on Molly has still been scratching but due to the soft round tips she has not caused any sores on her back. She no longer causes any damage to the furniture and can’t scratch anybody when she’s feeling naughty. I am very pleased with how long the claws stay on as only two claws have fallen off in 6 weeks. I want to say a big thank you and will definitely continue to use this product. Thank you, many thanks

“…a massive difference to her quality of life…”

I have a cat with a *severe* skin allergy and these caps have made a massive difference to her quality of life. They’re only on her back paws, and now she can scratch away without breaking the skin and causing repeat infections (necessitating washing, topical cream and anti-biotics).

“…My cat, who has an allergy, was scratching her face to pieces…”

My vet recommended this product as my cat, who has an allergy, was scratching her face to pieces. Gretel has worn them for about 2 months now and although we are not any nearer knowing what causes the itching/scratching, at least her face is healing. Quite cute looking too. Also, on laminate floors, it sound like a tap dance!

“…It has proved to be a very good training aid…”

Dear Sirs, I should like to take this opportunity to thank you for providing such a superb product. My cat, Pebbles, is 18 months old and has worn Soft Claws since we adopted her in March 2007. During her first few weeks my wallpaper was ripped to shreds near her feeding bowls and by the kitchen door, not to mention some nasty scratches both to myself and my young son.

We came across these Claw covers quite by accident whilst researching de-clawing and decided to try the product immediately. I found your staff to be very friendly and informative and the product arrived within 24 hours. Pebbles accepted the Soft Claws immediately and no further damage was done to our home. It has proved to be a very good training aid. We are now adopting two more kittens – one girl 10 weeks old and one boy 6 months old. I have just placed my second order for Soft Claws – kitten – clear and young cat – small in pink and blue.

I would recommend, without any hesitation, that everyone with a cat should try these. They are very easy to apply, look stylish and ensure that your new arrival(s) can enjoy your home with you without fear of damage to either person or property. I would suggest that you forward literature to all veterinary clinics, cat protection league and caring for cats so that they can inform prospective adoptees.

“…Extremely easy to apply and the cats appears not to be bothered…”

Soft Claws are extremely easy to apply and the cats appear not to be bothered by the plastic tips at all. From the moment they were applied they did not try and bite them or scratch with them. They have been wearing them for over 15 weeks! Araina has lost 3 and Oscar still has all 10!

The cat tray liner is no longer shredded and so the cat tray is much easier to clean. The cats still scratch on the scratching post, stair carpet and sofas but no longer do any damage. (All sofas have already been snagged by the cats and some patches of carpet are worn.)

My arms are no longer scratched by the cats kneading me when they are stroked. Though both the cats are good with children there is now no danger of accidental scratches when playing. All in all I’ve been delighted with the product and would highly recommend it to the indoor cat owner.

“Billy suffers from Persian idiopathic facial dermatitis

Billy suffers from Persian idiopathic facial dermatitis which mean his face can get really itchy and he scratches it until it bleeds causing infections. He has been on steroids since we got him at 3 months and has undergone numerous tests and aggressive forms of medication in the last year. Unfortunately there is no cure and many Persians get so bad or the vets bills get so high they have to be put to sleep, an average monthly vet bills ranges from £80-100. Despite the drugs Billy still goes through very bad stages every few months and scratches so badly he ends up on a drip in the vets for a week. I literally didn’t know what to do as he was so unhappy having to wear a head collar to stop him scratching.

Then a few months ago I was recommended soft claws and Billy has been given a new lease of life where he can scratch his face without causing damage. The vets have been amazed at his recovery and although he is still on life long medication and inevitably faces a shorter than average cat life, Billy has finally been able to lead a better quality of life.

We are so grateful to our good friends Flo and Bong for recommending soft claws and helping us put them on, we are now experts!

Although you cant see his soft claws in the photo (he likes pink best) we couldn’t resist sending this one as he look so cute! Billy has to be bathed with a medical shampoo due to his condition and usually doesn’t mind but having his photo taken did make him a little grumpy!

She does not have to wear a buster collar any more

Glad to say that the soft claws arrived safely on Saturday morning and the original ones you posted also arrived at the same time. We have decided to keep them all as it is not worth posting them back. Our cat Peaches is very grateful as she does not have to wear a buster collar any more, she has very delicate skin and from time to time scratches her head. I think I will keep the claws on permanently to stop her harming herself.

“They really are a hit!”

They really are a hit! We put them on when he was fast asleep and he didn’t even realise he was wearing them when he woke up! Absolutely fantastic! I have recommended them to all of my friends and family and am going to continue using them for certain! I thought I was going to be ripped to shreds for the next 18 years! You are more than welcome to add him to your site and put him forward for cat of the month! I think he’d like that very much! He spends more time sitting on my laptop than I do & up until we put the soft paws on, he took great pleasure in picking at the keys! Again, thank you VERY much!

We love them!

“I HAVE BEEN A VERY SICK AND SAD KITTY UNTIL SOFT CLAWS SAVED THE DAY!”

Thank you soo much for my pretty pink Soft Claws. I have been a very sick and sad Kitty until Soft Claws saved the day! Recently I was diagnosed with kitty acne which is a horrible black, gooey, blobby, itchy skin problem that infected under my chin. The vet gave my Mommy antibacterial soap to wash me with but unfortunately it was so itchy that I broke my skin and spread the infect to my eyes and the soft tissue above my eyes to the point where they were so swollen I could only see out of little slits. Cats Photos Because of my incessant scratching and me spreading the infection my Mommy had to put something that looks like a clown collar on me so that I didn’t make my infection any worse. Mommy was then scared I would get stuck in something outside with the clown collar on so I wasn’t aloud to go out and play with my friends either… sniff. Then my Mommy bought some Soft Claws which changed everything! No I don’t have to have the clown collar on because if I scratch myself I can’t break my skin and I can go outside and play…. yippee! I am a very happy Kitty thanks to Soft Claws and I have very cute paws.

“THEY WERE ALL WALKING AROUND WITH PRETTY PINK TOES!”

I have 5 cats of my own and I work with cats, I am a professional cat groomer, cat sitter and I have a Cat hotel in Surrey ‘Cat Care at home’. I trained as a vet nurse some 12 years ago and then left to run my own business with cats, the loves of my life! I am the first cat clothes designer in the world and have an online shop selling clothes, toys beds and diamante collars for cats, I just adore cats! I occasionally have problems with my pack of cats at home fighting etc and so I thought Id try soft paws so they would not scratch each other! I bought a pack in bright pink as I love pink and went about applying them to my cats front claws, it was much easier than I imagined, i sat down, opened the pack and put the glue in the little nails caps and then with my first cat in between my legs I pushed each one onto each claw, they didn’t mind at all. After they were applied, I thought they will bite them off or run around wild with anger with them on, but no, they did wonder what they had on their paws and had a chew at them but within an hour, they were all walking round with pretty pink toes! 2 weeks on, they are all still on each nail and all of them seem fine, in fact it seems to have even calmed them all down from fighting too, they don’t bite at them at all and they all seem quite happy, I was worried as to whether they could jump up etc but they are all climbing and jumping with no hesitation at all and I have not encountered any problems whatsoever with them having them on, (they are all indoor cats by the way). I think they are a good thing especially if you have leather sofas etc and any rattan furniture!!! And… they look so hip with pink toes! they match their pink hoodies I designed!

“I WOULD BE HAPPY TO RECOMMEND THESE TO ANYONE”

I have received these today and I am well impressed. Was a bit doubtful with regard to if they would work and whether my cat would get on with them, she found it a little strange for a couple of minutes and then absolutely fine, At least a scratch free home. Thank you so much, I am going to buy some more now for the Kitten we have. I would be happy to recommend these to anyone, in fact have just purchased another lot for my kitten. Believe me I am not a believer in adverts so to speak, but was getting desperate with cat (as she is a house cat) and clawing at everything, no more, claw free house and they do not bother her at all now, but yes feel free to use that and I would recommend this to anyone personally, I will be back when I need more Thanks for a fantastic service, so impressed!!

“WOW!!! HOW BRILLIANT!”

I just wanted to firstly say that the young girl who helped me place my order was very sweet and sorted out putting my order through with no problem. She was very helpful and friendly and I’d like to pass on my thanks to her. Secondly, regarding your product….WOW!!! How brilliant!! I was amazed at how easy the claw covers where to put on my kitten Purdey. She is more than happy for me to play with her feet anyway, but I was a bit worried that she wouldn’t take too kindly to having these put on. One or two meows of mild annoyance and BAM! Done! Just like that. She looks very pretty with them on and playing with her is so much kinder to mine and my childrens’ hands not to mention the number of times she has used her claws to climb up my trousers. Ouch. She had a curious chew on one, which stayed put, but other than that, she doesn’t seem bothered by them at all. I’m very very pleased and I’ve already recommended them to many friends, even the ones who haven’t got any pets!! Thanks very much again.
